Sisters

I wanted to get a photograph the waterfalls in Pontneddfechan, Wales. I did some research, planned my route in the GPS and packed my kit. The chap in the waterfall centre was very helpful and was keen to tell me the proper welsh name of the waterfalls. I smiled and nodded, I still don’t have a clue to this day what he was talking about. Unfortunately I lost the map I bought and stupidly brought along my bicycle for quick access. Bad move. I had to carry my bicycle for most of the 10 miles round trip and also had to transverse a waterfall as I got stuck on the wrong side of the river and watched a load of guys in wetsuits try to walk behind the waterfalls and fail. All good fun.
This is my first attempt at taking wateralls so please be gentle.

Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 50mm, f/20, 2.5 sec, ISO 50. ND filter used. Dust and scratches removed in photoshop, upped the saturation by +2

Never a truer word…. suffering…. I went back just recently, the same horrendous journey, this time it was pouring, by the time I’d hiked the 50 minute hill hike to the waterfall I’d realised I left my tripod mount at home.

Wow, and I thought that I went to alot of effort to get rainforest shots! I’ll have to bring my bicycle next time also… :D A nice shot, though perhaps some of the greens are just a tad oversaturated.
