Freedom is a mystical revelation
And sleep brings the indication
Of a life over this
Of unexpected bliss
And step by step as our fears lessen
Enlightened we begin ethereal lessons
Travelers of night
Psychedelic sight
Unravels on the unmitigated role
We transpire life’s purpose in soul
Consciousness unfolds
The immortal senses untold
That disappear with significance
But on returning from magnificence
Enchantment disappears
Our meager confinement appears
Lower in spirits
Of earthly merits
And heartache for life outside our dreams
Which extends beyond all our means
Pacify in hope and trust
Of return as soon as we must
Acceptance floods conscious memory now
But to understand why, or even how
Is far beyond imagination
Mortal emancipation
Ties our wings down
To this world we are bound
I don’t know why
I start to cry

I had a little trouble following the concepts in this piece, but I didn’t care because for me it was all about the choice of language. You’ve got some fabulous use of words in here, read aloud it would be almost hypnotic.

Wow – this is very deep. I had to read it twice – the second time imagining reading it aloud, then I understood better what you were relating. You have much talent.

Thank you Catherine! It is an important piece to me as it was the first piece i had published and read publically…....at the Octagon Theatre at the U.W.A. and yes…i was a relatively unusual 17 year old.Thank you for re-reading it…... i appreciate you taking it seriously.
