Save Mr. Baxter Some Time!(Sarcasm Alert)

Here is a copy of Mr. Baxter’s form letter that he keeps mailing to everyone. If you have any problems with the new RedBubble dont bother Mr. Baxter anymore. Just read this form letter I am posting. It is the one he has sent me twice and it is the one he seems to be sending almost everyone else. This will save Mr. Baxter a lot of time and trouble and will keep you from bothering him.

Dear Valued Feedback Supplier,

Thank you for taking the time to to write to us. Your words and thoughts are as essential for the healthy future of RedBubble as sunlight is to an orchid. However we are currently enjoying epic proportions of feedback about the lovely new site, so we may not be able to get back to you. But please rest assured we shall read every word, twice if they’re constructive, possibly even three times if they’re funny or suggest I should be promoted.

Thanks again, without you RedBubble is just me, in an office, with a stapler.

Regards,

Mr Baxter – Field Marshall of Feedback Filtering and Explaining Things Clearly

If you still feel you really must annoy the poor, overworked, underappreciated Field Marshall…then here’s a link so you can send him some Bubblemail…but I’ll tell you right now you will probably just get a copy of the above form letter.
Mr. Baxter

Addendum: See how many form letters you can get from Mr. Baxter and voice your concerns or you will get no relief from your problems with the New RedBubble.

I edited this post to make sure my point was made. The more people who voice their concerns to RedBubble management, the more likely you will get what it is you want. Do not just grumble to each other. Put up with the form letter but let them see the numbers in their mailbox.

They are overwhelmed with responses. Maybe they’ll just give up and go back to the old structure. You think?

  • No, I think they’ll just outwait the restless mob. Short attention span will grind you down when you arent looking.

the waiting it out approach has always worked for other sites. It will probably work here too.

Problem is – if no-one emails because they will only get a form letter back they will think that everyone else is happy with all the changes.

    Mr. Baxter
I thought I was being heavy handed with the sarcasm but I guess not.
    Here is my real message…
    Mr. Baxter

    Mr. Baxter

    Mr. Baxter

    Mr. Baxter
Like shampoo..apply and repeat as needed
and if Mr. Baxter’s responses to my concerns are any indication…you will have to repeat more then twice.

Rest assured they know exactly what is going on and how their customers feel, BUT they will not change it now it is done, they could have asked first is my gripe. Some were not happy with some parts of the old site, me well I get a long with anything, but at the other site I am on when they had a changeover they lost half the pictures and we never did get them back so I have albums on that site with empty spaces of where treasured pictures used to be….. So I guess we are lucky we have our pictures. Shirley

  • This is the response I got from Pilgrim. I havent seen the change back to us being able to reorder our own gallery yet. I will wait until Monday before any more comments on this problem.

“We are hearing this message loud and clear – the need to bring back the ordering. It was lost in the transition and will come back better and more powerful. The new system is helpful for people who don’t want to order but yes this message has well and truly been heard!”

Thanks for the clarification – silly me for thinking otherwise.

I agree completely with the repeat as needed.

FYI. Since this print out I have been to my Public Profile and ordered two pictures off my site for Christmas gifts in the form of paintings. They are ordered and paid for and will arrive at their new home in 3 weeks. You can still order your own work…Shirley

  • When I said “order my own work” I was talking about putting my work in the order I preferred it to be in. For instance, I recently put all my Christmas images on my first page since the Christmas season will be here soon. When the New RedBubble came out my first page had been rearranged so that the images were all images that had the most views…which is nice except they werent the images I wanted on the first page. The image of my cat Caligula isnt even for sale so Redbubble’s reasoning of this will improve sales was faulty. Since voicing my concerns Pilgrim has told me this will soon be corrected and we will once again be able to put images in the order we feel is best on our own portfolio pages.

Things have changed so much around here that everyone is confused and disoriented. I’m surprized I can write a complete sentence much less make any sense at all and with this teeny, tiny text I cant even see what I am typing. I’ll wait and see if Pilgrim does what was promised. And maybe after that I’ll start begging for a better type and size of text!

I can only say get a grip and learn the new RB. It isn’t difficult and most of the time what your looking for is in front of you. You just haven’t discovered it yet. :)))) Look at it as a FUN ADVENTURE.

  • I can find everything I want on the new RedBubble. That’s not my problem. I dont feel like making lemonade out of someone else’s lemons. My main problems with the new RedBubble are these
    1. It is ugly and cluttered looking in the new layout form.
2 The artist’s are no longer allowed to arrange their portfolio images the way they want them (which is why I have an image of my cat which isnt even for sale on my first page of images instead of Christmas images which is the way I wanted it)>
    3. The text is difficult to read making staying on the site for any length of time less likely.

Pilgrim says that the ability to arrange images to the artist’s liking will be changed back and I’m waiting for that to happen.

Change is okay…if there is a good reason for it and if it doesnt cause more problems than it is trying to fix.
