As I run blinded
You’re there to catch me
With broad shoulders
I collapse unto your warm neck
With wet glistening tears
That dampens your coat.

Your neck curves around
My shaking body
With knowing eye
You nuzzle my leg.

You, my steed, are my savior
As you stand there proud
While your maiden lets
Go of her tars on your majestic neck.

You take my weight
As I thrust it on you with grief
You nuzzle my hands that
Are shaking and drenched with tears.

Questioning eyes with
Glint of sorrow
As you, my friend,
Don’t know that I want to die.

Your ears so soft and velvety
Twitch from every whimper
And cry that I make
And yet you stand there proud
With leading eyes
As I am blinded.
