Inside the Haunted Mansion

Number of views as of 20th July 2014 = 500.

It’s November and Somerset’s carnival season is in full swing.

Many Somerset towns (and even a few from Devon and Dorset) host illuminated carnival processions to brighten up those autumnal evenings.

Dozens of brightly coloured, animated floats, pulled by tractors, with their own generators in tow, slowly pass through the often narrow streets of the towns, whilst music and dancing add to the atmosphere.

The floats can be anything up to 60 feet long and 20 feet high, and some have to be seen to be believed.

Here a colourful character from the ‘Haunted Mansion’ float plays to the crowd during Glastonbury’s parade.

He was definitely going for the ‘Alice Cooper look’ I think!

Date: 12th November 2011.
