A common sight on British roads in the last century, the Ford Anglia was introduced in 1939 and was manufactured until 1967, when it was superceded by the Ford Escort. Almost 1.6 million were built.
Four different body shapes were developed during the model’s lifetime, and this one, the 105E covered the period from 1959 onwards.
The vehicle was of course immortalised in the film ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’, where Harry and Ron ‘borrow’ Ron’s dads charmed Ford Anglia and fly it to Hogwarts, where it meets an untimely end in collision with the Whomping Willow!
