The Water Tower, Upper Gardens, Bournemouth
Number of views as of 29th February 2016 = 900.
Built in 1883, this former water tower is situated in the Upper Gardens in Bournemouth, Dorset, England.
The gardens follow the Bourne Stream from Branksome (where it emerges from a pipe) a distance of over 2 miles to the Pier approach by the beach.
There are 4 sections, namely Coy Pond, the Upper Gardens, Central Gardens and Lower Gardens. The Lower Gardens are a popular meeting place during the summer months but tend to be avoided by those ‘in the know’, who prefer the peace and tranquility to be found further upstream.
The Water Tower is now home to a colony of bats.
Date: 12th May 2010.
