Packbridge over Bybrook
Between Christmas and the New Year I had an opportunity to return to Castle Combe in Wiltshire, which justifiably lays claim to being one of England’s prettiest villages.
This is a shot of the Packbridge, which carries the main street over the Bybrook stream.
The village was fairly quiet on this wintry Sunday morning, but the White Hart and Castle Inn were doing a brisk lunchtime trade!
Date: 28th December 2008.
Number of views as of 14th May 2013 = 690.
Number of sales = 4.

Have you got many more shots of this place Howard?
Many thanks for the favourite Jason.
You’ll find a few more Castle Combe shots from my visit in July last year here and I’ve a few more to post from my latest visit (coming soon).

This is a fine shot of this pretty village. I love the way the late afternoon sun has lit the honey-coloured stonework of the cottages.
Thanks Paul, I liked your shot of the village too!

The lighting is simply perfect and how lucky you were to have this wonderful scene void of people. Today it was impossible to get shots without there being people on view, no mater how long I waited for them to move…
Thanks Jayne, I guess the village will always be busier in summer. I got lucky here between Christmas & New Year, a lovely day but not so many people about.
