Number of views as of 19th April 2015 = 780.
The church of St Arilda, Oldbury on Severn, South Gloucestershire, stands proudly atop a grassy knoll, overlooking the River Severn and surrounding countryside, with fine views stretching away to the Forest of Dean and the Severn Bridge and Estuary.
This is one of only two churches dedicated to St Arilda. She was apparently a local virgin and martyr, slain by a local tyrant after she refused to ‘lie with him’.
