Iwerne Courtney

Number of views as of 17th November 2014 = 1350.

This is the village of Iwerne Courtney, a.k.a. Shroton in North Dorset, shot from the approach to Hambledon Hill, one of Dorset’s amazing iron age hill forts. Strange that our ancestors preferred to live on higher ground, whereas most modern homes occupy the valleys. The circular area is of course the village cricket ground.

Date: 25th May 2008.
