The Cotswold Way passes through the town of Wotton-under-Edge (Gloucester, England) and this view of Wotton Hill greets the walker on leaving the town heading north along the limestone escarpment known as the Cotswold Edge from which the town takes its name.
The group of trees on top of the hill were planted in the 19th century to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo.
Wotton Hill is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
