At The Foot Of The Mountains

The picturesque village of Limone lies at the foot of the mountains on the north-west shore of Lake Garda, Italy. Until Mussolini built the road around the lake, the only way to visit the village was by boat or remote mountain track. Today it is a popular tourist resort with many hotels, shops & cafes.

Boats ply up and down the lake at regular intervals, taking their passengers from place to place.

The structure close to the shore on right of shot is a former “lemon house”, of which there are several around Lake Garda. Most are disused now as lemon production is no longer economically viable here.
