Whiskey Bravo
Dorset Coast Guard rescue helicopter “Whiskey Bravo” returning to base at Portland. The helicopter is a Sikorsky S61N with a crew of four – two pilots, a winchman and a winch operator. It can carry 19 passengers, has a maximum speed of 131 knots, and covers a coastline of 100 miles. Now in its 13th year of operation, the Whiskey Bravo team routinely perform an average of 2 rescues a week.
