Wow this is so beautiful and a fabulous shot. You would have to go a long way to beat this for amazing scenery.

Thankyou Irene. It’s true that we don’t always appreciate what we have in this country.

I suspect we will be overrun with tourists from now on- all wanting to see our spectacular scenery- this is a brilliant shot!!

Nah! They’d have to walk more than 100 metres from the car park!

A lovely image – I have been looking at those Plustek scanners myself recently. This rather confirms it would be a good buy!

Thanks Colin.
I’ve only had my Plustek about a week (50th birthday present!) so haven’t played with it much yet, so I wouldn’t feel comfortable making a recommendation at this early stage, but watch this space!! This was the first slide I tried. Had a few attempts before getting it right – you need to set the resolution at an appropriate level otherwise the saved file ends up too large thus filling up your hard drive, or too small for RB to allow anything other than greeting cards! This one was set at 1440 dpi which gave a file size of around 5 Mbytes, similar to images downloaded from my EOS 400D, so I’ll probably stick with that resolution for other slides I scan in for RB use in future. I’ve got around 5000 slides, mostly on Fujichrome, going back over 20 years, so I’ll need to pick and choose which ones I scan!
