Throop Mill Reflections

There has been a mill on this site since at least the 11th century A.D. The current building dates from c1900, and was driven by a 50 inch turbine made by a local firm in Ringwood. It is now disused but the building and machinery is largely intact. The Friends of Throop Mill organise occasional open days.
Location: Throop, near Bournemouth, Dorset, England.
Date: 2nd May 2008
