Sorry to say that some dastardly non-Easter bunny has been spamming some RedBubble users with something along the following lines.

WINNING NOTIFICATION
We are pleased to inform you that your art works on exibition won you a prize credited to file KTU/9023118308/03.In the UK ART COUNCIL ONLINE PROM draws held this MARCH 2008.
etc ….

This has nothing to do with RedBubble. Any communication from us will come from the RedBubble account. The spammer’s account has been deleted. It is important that you don’t respond to this bubblemail (both to protect your own privacy and so the spammer gets no joy and moves on).

Please report any spam use of Bubblemail. It is ONLY to be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Sorry about this. There are some rabid bunnies out there.

no matter where you see such information of winning anything, you should ask yourself if you entered for a lottery or somthing of that sort, and if the answer is “NO”, then you should know it is a scam…Take this seriously, I have been scammed before and I still recieve an average of 15 scam letters everyday!!!!!!!!! Is redbubble serious about jounal entries in the Easter art postings? There are far more credible entries than the shallow writings from people looking for publicity.
Some good work from artists seems to be tucked away towards the back end of the listings!
Get the priorities right please,redbubble.

Good catch on the spam. I got an email from a place I joined that publishes books on demand. I know they’re legit. They’re running a contest on photography books and it looked interesting to me, I’m not a photographer so I put their email up in my journal entry for the great photographers here. Please let me know if I’ve done something untoward, and if so I’ll take it down. You do such a brilliant job here, I sure don’t want to interfere with the way you want to run this terrific site.

I am now officially afraid to check my email, I even got a Phone call on my cell phone in the Begining of Feb. from some call centre, a guy trying to get me to borrow money from whoever wherever to pay to have a website to sell in some scamway or rather spamway deal.
