RedBubble

More info about Calendars

HOLY COW YOU WILL ALWAYS KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS

RedBubble calendars are printed on an HP Indigo 5000 (for those who haven’t heard, this is the digital press). A3 sized, each page is a matte coated print on 170gsm pages. The cover shows your choice of image on heavier 300gsm paper. Your calendars have a hanger and white wire binding.

Shown here is cowboy Dave, modeling a somewhat avant-garde hat and calendar ensemble (Hat by Acme Party Supplies, Calendar by the RedBubble Worker Ants).

Dave says emerging fashion trends always look a bit strange when you’re leading the pack. We say check your calendar Dave, stupid hat day was last week.

James just likes to write my name on things, he’s written it all over the office, on his desk, clothes, arms, everywhere. He’s actually dedicated April 17 2008 to me.
I’m a little scared, so I’ve moved to Argentina.

Lucan – I’d be no good tanned and stitched into shoes, put that whiskey down and design a t-shirt or something.

    Lucan Industri...

Shut up. Put that whiskey down indeed. I didn’t put it down to design any of the others. And you would be much more useful as shoes.

great idea! although it would be even better if you had the option of compiling a calender using a selection of works from various artists. For example, each artist could have the option of making their works available for use as a calender page (for the appropriate price) and thus the buyer would not be limited to a calender of just one artists works but could choose works from any artist on redbubble to create a compilation. This may or may not be possible, but I’d thought I’d put the idea out there anyway.

    Keep up the good work.

Man, I wish I’d known about this a month ago! I have a couple of questions:

What will the base price be for calendars?
Will the calendars be Australia-specific (with Aus holidays)?

  • Carson Collins

I already publish a 2008 calendar via CafePress.com, have done for the past 5 years. Now that I’ve found RedBubble, maybe I should change and do one here for 2009? I’m not yet aware what the relative advantages are…

My calendar is 11” x 17” format (28×43 cm.) – 12 images from The Ocean Series, plus Transcendental Love poetry with ocean and sky metaphors; the poets included are Rumi, Hafiz, Cheng-tao Ke, Ekai, Isaac of Nineveh, Kabir, William Stafford, and David Whyte. $19.99 plus $5.00 shipping. The CafePress.com base price is $16.99, so I make $3 on each one sold.

If you’d like to see it, or buy one, here’s the
    link.

also is it possible to get a counter on the calendars and to get them on the portfolio public view page with our art and clothes and what not? I’m sure they would attract some interest from the public,

Well done Redbubble! The calendar definitely is value for money and is just simply AWESOME!!!

  • Daniel Rarela

    Daniel Rarela

looks great!! i just made one with the best of my black and white photography on RedBubble…. how do we sell them though?! it doesnt show up on our page, so how are people going to know that they can buy our stuff?

  • Doug Thost

    Doug Thost

Agree with Jeremy Ham, and like sparrowhawks idea about thumbnails and title … maybe being available as an option rather than having to make your own jpeg montage. Perhaps on the back page? Also, space for a more lengthy description about the image. I know you guys at RB want to promote yourselves too, but it’d be nice if there was an option to replace your RedBubble tag with something from us, eg our own website reference, especially on the front page. After all, we’re paying for them!

hello. I was all excited about the calender thing. What a great way to sell a few pictures of mine, even if it is a couple of bucks profit. I went to create a calender and oh no! i get the message no images of yours are suitable or something like that. ie they are not big enough. But i upload my pictures as highest quality jpgs, and tif is not available. Is it the fault of my trusty yet getting dated d70 or can i fix it somehow?

  • whitetiger790

Creating a calendar was so much fun, but with dial up it takes forever. I cant wait to do another one when I get DSL. The bigger the pictures the more you can change things around. It’s a fun way to be creative.
