A false start
Hello,
Today we released a new version of RedBubble – but there were problems so we ultimately reverted back to the previous version. Today’s update included an upgrade to the magic we use to build RedBubble (Ruby on Rails version 2.1). Unfortunately Ruby on Rails Version 2.1 broke RedBubble. Specifically it broke the ability to report activity.
We tested version 2.1 on our test instances of RedBubble – and all looked fine. But there’s something going on with the live site that we don’t understand. After releasing today we tried for two hours to get to the bottom of the problem – but with no joy. This is a hard problem. So we decided to revert back to the old website while we dig into the details (it’s never good idea to fix a hard problem under time pressure).
With any luck we’ll have the problem(s) solved by this time tomorrow and we can re-release this update to RedBubble.
Thanks for you understanding – and thanks to John and Xavier who are going to have a busy 24 hours.
Cheers,
Peter
edit – There are still a couple of layout issues since we have rolled back to the older version. We’re working on them now. Thanks for your patience.
Ready, set go! by eileenlangsley

a second false start and you get disqualified :))
Zoraida Pesante
no problem! Thanks for the heads up!
Karen Cougan
wow I saw the first attempt and I reckon it will be worth the wait….......good luck guys
xkc
John Robb
ahh – no harm in admitting that things errrrmm… errr….. didn’t go right :-)
Genevieve Robey
You guys are doing a great job.
Jessica Walker
I kinda wish it could remain the same… :(
Oh and by the way, I just tried to join 3 groups and I can’t. There’s some error going on that makes me unable to join new groups.
RedBubble replied
This should be fixed now Jessica. Thanks for alerting us :)
Jonathan Bartlett
Phew!! Good to know you guys knew this was happening. Figured you did!
I think we all can give you a second start. More Ruby’s fault than yours :)
Alison Johnston
Did Russ get his lunch ? :)
RedBubble replied
It actually wasn’t Russ’ doing … but I think he skipped lunch in solidarity with John and Xav.
Julian Escardo
All is forgiven and thank you for constantly working on improvements and new enhancements – good luck!
Kasey Cline
Thanks for the info!!! Glad to see we are back and all is ok for now!!!
Keep doing what you guys do…You all ROCK!
Lois Bryan
Awww … bless your hearts … hang in there!!! LOL!!!!
Colleen Milburn
Was excited to see the new version go live, but did notice some problems. Good luck!
Donna Adamski
Woohoo!! I’m not losing it!!! LOL Keep up the good work….couldn’t really make out the new changes, but waiting for the fix!! :)
Peter Lessey
I agree with John, no medals this time.
Kate Purdy
Best of luck tonight…hope you guys get some sleep!
Vasile Stan
I perfectly understand the complexity of such a task, and I know success is not a one shot thing. I applaud your company’s striving and dedication to continuous improvements to RB. Wish you success.
joedog
Take your time no rush we would rather it work than have you guys pulling out your hair in a rush and thanks for the notification
David Petranker
The only comment i have is can we as redbubblers and regular user have a say maybe a survey would be good that way we all can have a say, I am morethan happy to help design the survey as I used to work for Lightspeed Research one of the largest research companies in the world.
yanmos
looking forward for the new version!
simonesphotos
Gold medal for effort guys!! :))
aglaia b
i love all the fine line work, boxes and subtle changes, it looks so modern.
good luck guys,
take a little break, it will come soon enough. :-) xox

For a moment I was scared … I’m just glas it wasn’t my computer that acted strange.
Thanks for the info, and good luck with the upgrade.

redbubble has hax
tandoor
you can have a few red bublers do some monkey testing for the upgrades. :)
CapturedByKylie
I was getting a few problems too, but im sure once you have worked out the glitches, then the new layout will look and work great (I hope).
BuddyOne
Thanks for all you do … for us!
Ghelly
I was excited too, I was trying the challenges change IT’S GREAT I could see all challenges and how many votes I was getting. and the way it will show the groups, I agree 100%. I was kind of disapointed when I saw the old one back.
I noticed the errors and I knew you guys were working on this. I can’t wait to try the new version.
Good luck
Ecto1
Ohhh, and I was just enjoying the new update. I liked what I saw anyway, hope it’s fixed and active soon.
Kieron Nolan
I’m tending to agree with Jessica. Branding is a very important thing and if you mess with it people get upset. Look at the backlash every time Facebook change something!
WendyJC
ok so it’s not perfect yet!
loved what i saw without the glitches :)
Wendi Donaldson
Glad you pulled it back….and let us know too!! thanks for that.
Look forward to the revamped update tomorrow!!
Anne McGinn
Hey! Give yourselves an “A” for effort guys:) xoxo

Appreciate the update on what is going on.
Juilee Pryor
it’s all good…. it looked so good too but better it looks fabtabulous and works well than just looks good…. have total faith in you guys….. but you better go and buy lots of buiscuts for the chaps slaving over the back end… they are going to need them…...:)
David McMahon
No worries. I think your team does a great job.
Natalia Campbell
Thanks for the update :)
i saw the new version and then the next time i log back in it was back to the old version….i kindda like the old version but if the new one has a few next improvements then im all for it…when its all ready of course :)
TextureoftheSin
I am looking forward to the changes when you’ve sprayed the bugs – they looked terrific (the changes – not the bugs) :)
Meike
You do such a great job… Keep on working I am addicted to this site ;)))!
ODE2EDO
cant wait!
Kristina K
i liked the new version, i did see two things that i was wondering about,
first one was when i tried to edit my group news, it said that there were dragons ahead, and i couldnt edit it.. i presume there was a problem there..and where did the group news go from the front page..
other than that great stuff..regards kristina
Barbara Brown
From what i saw, it lks like it will be a great change. Good luck and thank you for all of the hard wrk!
Lorraine Creagh
Thanks for keeping us informed. :-)
Andrew Wilson
I am a system tester myself and know how easy this can happen.
Good luck
drec
The new layout looks good. Now back to old and it’s getting hard to navigate this site. All the pages are stuffed, clear cookies/caches and it’s like trying to navigate a minefield. Can’t wait for the new roll out.
bill oneil
Stop bloody changing things…if it aint broke , dont touch it…
Colleen Milburn
WOW – weird stuff still happening!! Is anyone else having further problems since reverting back to original RB?
Jen Ryan
What’s amusing to me is that just earlier today I realized I finally adapted to the last changes. I wasn’t so sure I would at first so I was quite happy about it today. Then tonight (I’m in Oklahoma) BAM! Ya’ll change it on me again lol! I thought… of course…change it the day I realize that I have fully adapted lol! It made me laugh…
I must be getting older…I used to like change… ;)
Hope you get the kinks worked out. Don’t stress too much about it…it’s all good! ;)
Carol Clifford
Everything looks screwed up when I sign on tonight. I thought I did something wrong when I tried to put a counter on my profile page. I hope it gets fixed soon. Carol Clifford
Karin Taylor
no worries, I can be patient, knowing how lovely it’s all going to look…...
i am still having a few problems now, even tho we’ve reverted back I’m afraid
Appel
It looked promising!! We’ll be patient!
cougarfan
Awesome!! Thanks For The Info:)))) Better Luck Next Time:)xoxox
zooreka
I definitely hated the Groups window toggled open by default and no way of shutting it off… but worst offence of all was that you had to resize your browser to at least 1280px resolution for the page to fit… an absolute no go for side by side browsers unless your monitor supports 2560px with or higher.
quite agree…this site is becoming much harder to navigate with every turn of the screw… what about usability and basic site goals????
Vicki Ferrari
I am so glad that I didn’t hit the wrong button on my computer (which is what I thought when it all started!)..... I am guessing that all the bugs will be sprayed and that they will then go away and die, not in anyone’s computer…. and never come back again…..
GOOD LUCK! (feed them hardworkers out the back LOTS of chocolate!!) (and COFFEE) and painkillers for the headaches that I think they might get, from a mix of Ruby, chocolate and frustration!!
Mika
Yah thanks for the update! New version looks awesome! Cant wait >.<
Vicki Ferrari
and here are those bugs again…... at least I don’t need my glasses when the screen does that!!!
Paul Pichugin
There are still a few issues now with formatting and layout.. but I’m looking forward to the update!

RedBubble replied
There are a few layout issues since we have rolled back that we’re working on now.

RB ROCKS!!!! CAN’T WAIT!!!!
Colleen Battis...
totally understand :)
Roz McQuillan
It was looking great! One thing – when checking through group news, it keeps reverting back to the start each time. Is it possible to return it to where it left off? Keep up the great work!!!
zooreka
....and why 24hours???? cant you take a few years… Thinks were fine up to a few hours ago when you decided to ‘launch’ this rubbish upon us… Like force feeding babies!!!
However we are not babies… we are adults and some of us will not bend to the crap for long before we piss off to look for greener pastures….
DON CASTILLO
If theres anyway you can increase my sales.. I’d appreciate it..haha :)
kalaryder
See its back again – still problems though. Can’t open up 2nd page of new work without it going to one long list and then then when clicking on the thumbnail, the main image appears halfway down the page. Assume this will be reverted to the top of the page as it used to be.
Only just got used to the old version.
Dislike entirely that when I go to moderate in a group I almost put myself out of the group. The placing of the ‘leave this group’ was fine at the end of the line – it is the last thing that is required. This is a negative in my view.
Buckwhite
Appreciate the update. Lookin gforward to the new version – I fsome of the stuff that wasn’t working exactly right is still there, when it’s fixed – it looks to be really good!!!
dawndavies
I know you guys are trying your best for us all, but honey, all was fabulous before christmas and the site was truly amazing, luv you guys but over the last two months people have got a little peeved to all the changes and quite frankly some just did not work and the site nearly became unworkable, an old saying if it aint broke dont fix it, hehe but i do wish you to grow, so go get em boys hehe dawnx
ArcadiaTempest
Ahhhh not to worry…..thanks for your hard work…...I know it is appreciated very much, especially from me. :)))
Natalie Perkins
I can’t wait for the new version!
Progress means moving forwards people! (Unless Ruby’s playing up, ha!)
Paul McClintock
I for one support the changes… it sucks that something broke during the changeover, but I think you’re pointed in the right direction. The new design is going to be awesome.
Linda Callaghan
thought something peculiar was going on and wondered if it was my ‘puta so thanks for the post – feel better now ..good luck with sorting it all out…love my bubble!
Buckwhite
PS- The way you have the groups looks to be very good. Lke seeing al the challenges and the number of vote sreceived.
Keep up the good work!
Rosalie Dale IPA
I was kinda getting used to the new look!!! But did notice some glitches (do we really need [a] avatars for the challenges – wouldn’t text do? Takes up a heap of space on the page, and do we really need [b] to see all the old challenges that have finished – wouldn’t the current ones be of most interest?). The lists were running off the end of the page. Waiting with bated breath for the next exciting installment.
Irene Burdell
I did notice while the changes were briefly there that there was no group news showing ,what has happened to that , if it is now not appearing on the activity page how are people to know what is happening?
RedBubble replied
It was temporary on hold while we tried to sort out the problems. There’s a sneak peek at group news here
David Petranker
Paul of course you support what is happening your a gatekeeper so you have to, if you look at the most influencial sites in the world they change there site once a year, they will put updates but basic formating does not occur, there are a lot of people on here who are upset about all these changes go on and i understand that change is evolution however do it all at once, ask us whether we want the changes. You have tried again to upload the site and it is exactly the same as the first time.
MuscularTeeth
Perfection takes time !
Russell Greenwood
@Rosalie – You’ll only see open challenges when it launches.
@David – We weren’t trying again, was just an echo from the first attempt – should be mostly back to normal now. And if you haven’t got the RB Backstage account on your watchlist you might want to add it – then you can get info on these releases before they happen.
jemimalovesbigted
LOVE the new look! When you are ready, so are we. Good luck with squashing all of those those bugs =D
linaji
gosh you all are so amazing.. I saw some of the changes ahead. and wow.. I love em!
Paul McClintock
That’s it!. You’re not getting through the gate!
David Petranker
MT of course perfection takes time, we are in an unperfect world and we are all impatient. There are so many many smart people on this website and i am sure if the powers above tape into us the right way we can help make the site even more powerful. I will give you a perfect example and excuse me for putting the competition up here phartgallery.com this is a fantastic site which i am also a member off, there is much to be learnt from industrial spying.
Paul McClintock
fart gallery?
Julie Scully
Well I caught a glimpse of the new version and it looks great ….will wait patiently now I know what’s going on .Hope it all works out!
FlowersEtc
Maybe it would helpp if you give notice and shut down for a few days. That way no one is messing with programs causing interference
Paul McClintock
By the way David, the only person I answer to is the Keymaster.
ANewKindOfWater
If you’re using a service like akamai for images and css files, sometimes it can take a long time for them to update everything, so in the meantime you have partial css, missing images, etc. Some of the pages were working, and looked nice.
PaulWJewell
Peter, It’s difficult to remember the aim was to drain the swamp, when you’re up to your armpits in alligators! PJ
Darren Stones
@David Petranker,
I don’t support many changes done to this site in recent months, and I’m not afraid to say so. Unlike some who say “nice”, when in fact it’s crap.
Phil Thomson IPA
No problems !! Caught a quick glimpse of the new set up and it looks great, so chins up and press on you guys, you’re doing a fantastic job !!!!!
Tama Blough
It looked great, and I love the new Groups thing with the challenge voting info – good work.
However, per a comment above, I also almost left a group I host because I am used to the moderation button being the first in the line. Thank heaven for the “do you really want…” pop-up or I’d have been in a mess.
Paul McClintock
But to be fair Darren, it’s well known that you’re a big old grump who hates any kind of change… :P (don’t hit me)
Lenny La Rue, IPA
The good news is that all the incredible crashing and burning I’ve been doing today doesn’t mean I’m a complete idiot. The bad news is that rebuilding my browsers, firewalls, and virus protection to NOT find out I’m an idiot is going to take a while – a long while. Firefox is shot and I’ll have to reinstall the latest version because I did so much tweaking of view sizes I can’t get each individual page of the site to open the same way.
I’m old. I’ve been old a long time. Being old and set in your ways has advantages when your ways are OK, i.e. “ain’t broke to begin with”. Was Red Bubble “broke” cuz it damned sure ain’t old enough to be as broke as me!
Can I interest anybody in rolling out a modification/upgrade/version about once every two years or so? (I mean, unless something is broke, of course). :-)
Darren Stones
Paul, I doubt I’ll be around much from here on.
Paul McClintock
It’s not that bad is it?
Darren Stones
Too much time spent on stuffing around with the site, and not on product development.
Chris Rehberg
That’s honesty for you. Good work for having an effective rollback plan.
jerry alcantara
getting BIG….getting BETTER…..more POWER RB!
Paul McClintock
Well, I’ve been waiting for this update for quite a while now. I don’t understand this ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ mindset. That’s the best way to get left behind. Redbubble needs to keep up to date, and it’s unfortunate that this update caused such a massive conflict, but you can’t expect them to just sit on their hands and wait for the rest of the internet to move forward.
I mean, does anyone remember what the internet looked like 15 years ago? If some of you guys had your way it would still look like that.
Darren, I think you’d be surprised at how much Redbubble are working to develop their products as well as keep the website viable.
georgiegirl
Well, I like the new look… looks modern and organised!! Good luck with the gremlins and bugs :D
gracestout2007
Thank you very much for the information. You guys are all G-R-E-A-T! Redbubble is the best site in the net. MORE POWER and i am extremely happy to discover this site.

Good luck keep up the great work!

From what I briefly saw, I really wish you would stop screwing with the interface for, say, a week or so. There’s got to be more to life than retraining yourself in how to interact with a website every second week.

Thanks for leting us know, I thought my computer was going Crazy lol
Glad everything is back too normal!!

bloody bugs. Get a bigger swatter, i say!

I’m surprised that some people seriously believe that these changes are happening for no reason. Come on guys, in the cyber world if you snooze you lose..
Love the new look, and glad to know the RB crew aren’t cat napping.

Change has been happening frequently and coming a little fast I feel, with the result that you have to spend time getting used to new features…a bit frustrating when pressed for time…look forward to future improvements as redbubble refines.
Mizz1
take all the time you need RB.. i’m never leaving!! i love this site, no matter what you do to it…. and so far…it’s all good! the tech-hiccups evoke my patience and that’s not a bad thing… you provide so much. i’m just thankful. (pats for the troubleshooters).

LOL
alexkess's comment_The old site was so April 2009! Thank god the new release is on its way._ and then Darren's reply! Priceless!<br />Still grinning!! :))))<br />Darren – you might have to be a little more controversial if you want to be known for being a crankly old bugger (COB) or a grumply old man (GOM) or a big old grump (BOG)! You are way too quiet lately! Come on, start typing in CAPITAL LETTERS or something like that :)))(heh heh heh!!!)
Duncan Waldron
You can’t please all of the people, all of the time. I’ve got more to worry about, than whether or not there are too many tweaks happening. I guess the gripes above are an indication of how much folk love RB, and find changes hard to cope with. If nobody gave a monkey’s about what happened, you’d be in trouble!
Good luck with the Ruby problem :)
Merice Ewart
We appreciate all your efforts keep up the hard work!
Darren Stones
VICKI,
YOU’VE REMINDED OF THE KING OF CAPITAL LETTERS ON THIS SITE, AND OF COURSE I’VE VISITED HIS PROFILE TO SEE WHAT HE’S WRITTEN LATELY.

thanks for changing it back, was leary of coming to the site this morning after waking up.

you guys can get this done..and Kudos to you for Communicating with All of the members

I wonder if you guys should be testing stuff with Beta Testers? (puts his hand up) Or would that take up too much Server Space? Good luck Elves!! :)

I noticed some of the things that might get added and liked them….like seeing how many votes you are getting in Challenges. Love this site, and all that you do!!!!!!
CLiPiCs
two things which I hope were the bugs
I couldn’t collapse the group feed Grr
and the general feed was so spread out the page was loooooooooongassed
on the upside the group feed looked great and knowing what’s going on in challenges is good, although I do wonder if it will lead to Mailing for votes
and I do have to ask why you didn’t ask for at least a hundred members to test this like you did with the last major overhaul, sloppy
I am not gonna yell and I am not gonna leave either ! changes happen all day every day some good some bad, at least you guys listen when we state our case
thanks
Pssst don’t release it till you’re sure Huh !

I hope it is better…..and hope it doesn’t take me weeks to get used to the newest change.

you guys rock, how you do what you do is just amazing. If it stays the same or changes makes no difference to me. It always is a pleasure here on RB

I love this place and I figure the changes are just a challenge for me to improve all my skills!!

thanks for the post giving details … keen to see the new roll-out :)

Redbubble is an excellent teaching tool for me. I teach high school art, and show various artists/artwork to my students on a daily basis, just from Redbubble! They need to know that there are many people alive and well producing fantastic art, even though they may not be famous. I learn from Redbubble, myself, and have met one of hy rb friends in person recently on a trip to Chicago. Bravo for Redbubble!
harshcancerian
best of luck… you guys are have done well till this time… I wish you all the success in the world… this bubble is here to stay …..
DeviousLili
No worries, Peter. Sincerely. Do as you must and it will come together just as it should. It really is that simple. :)
Shoaib .
I actually really loved the new look of the site! I cant wait for it to go back … its more clean and steamlined. A suggestion if i could make it would be to allow all forms of artwork to be “click and dragged” into order (instead of just being able to move up and down or move all the way to the top and bottom) I’m sure that will involve a lot of code but it would be really worth it.
shoaib
SandraRos
In my book you are all brilliant all the changes so far was fantastic and I can not wait for this one !!! Hang in there guys it is all worth it in the end !!
Jane Wiebenga
Thankyou for keeping us up to date. I thought I had done something wrong when I signed in earlier on. Patience is a virtue. I am sure anything you do will be worth the wait.
Philip Golan
Can I just chuck in something for RedBubble to consider incorporating in the future!
“Cooliris” or something similar to view members art pages. :)
CJTill
It is nice of you to let use know what is happening. Such a rear thing in today’s world. Good luck find out what the problem is.
Mitch Labuda
At least some sites that use Ruby On Rails and encounter problems, redbubble, follows and let’s us know and keeps us aware.
Thanks for the updates and for a great site, glitches and all.
monaiman
Thank you guys.. you are doing a great job :)
suzannem73
Hope all goes well with resolving the problems. Keep up the good work!!
Vulpine
I’m confused. You’re using Ruby 2.1 or 3.0? An administrator I know tells me the current standard Ruby is 2.6 and that 3.0 was recently introduced.
RedBubble replied
Rails is the framework – and Ruby is the underlying language. Rails version 2.1 was released mid last year. The most current version is 2.3.
Marita McVeigh
keep up the great work!
Isa Rodriguez
I love that you guys are working on making things better….. wow. the patience you all have is quite amazing….....
the feeds look a bit long. with the old challenges coming up ….. but it is curious. I found three challenges I had placed on but didnt know about till last night..
chins up …..... we are here… and know you work for us constantly…....I am sure it will be great..
van049
Hope all goes well and that all problems and issues get resolved!
Red Bubble is a very busy place with incredibly high traffic. so we
should expect a few issues every now and then. I personally find
Red Bubble’s service an asset for my artwork and photography,
and it is FREE and doesn’t cost me a dime. I don’t know of any
other site that gives so much back into the community, and I am
very thankful for the services Red Bubble gives to all of us! Keep
up the excellent work Peter, and all the others who help to keep
Red Bubble my own special little corner in my part of the world!!!
Joanne Bradley
Best of luck, be kind to the techies! And thanks for all the hard work!
pyko
good luck guys! hope you find the annoying bug…debugging is a pain :(
Daniel Rayfield
sounds like it went off the rails, so to speak. I caught a glimpse of what had happened , it was a mess but I could also see where you were going with this update and I think it could look quite nice, top job
John Hooton
Ignore the moaners, critics and those who would be happier still stuck in Windows ‘95, you are doing a great job. These people have no idea what goes into creating a site like Redbubble and how complex and huge, writing the code can be.
The viewer only ever sees 2% of what you actually put into it; the rest is all behind the scenes.
I’m always for progress otherwise we would have never had digital art in the first place. Three cheers and more coffee for John and Xavier!
Chamika Amarasiri
I had a glimpse of the new site this morning :) I very much enjoyed seeing the vote count from the challenges I’ve entered. The rest of it looked great too! Keep up the good work RB!
silverstrummer...
I like changes anyway it keeps you on your toes (not you personally) and at the end of the day if we have a new singing and dancing RedBubble then its for the good .. there has been too many negative’s on this change. so a little longer wait is ok an Thank You – David
Cindirelli
We all have our issues at some point in time, appreciate the heads up! You all are doing a great job!!! ~|}:)

As a web designer and programmer myself, and being logged in yesterday to observe the update myself… I can feel your pain!!
Just remember crew… that some days are better than others, and everything that evolves has it’s share of growing pains! ;)
Big Hugz for a better day today!

Is there any need to change it?

I saw just a ‘taste’ of the new version last evening and it looked great. I loved the way the groups and our challenge entries were shown. Keep up the fantastic hard work!! :)

I sort of saw what you were trying yesterday, looks good! Best of luck – you guys have a great site!

Have you guys thought of fixing this bug that appears every time I go to enter an image into any challenge “Entries close and voting starts 27 days from now”
Only when u click on the challenge do you come to know that entries are open. The existing red bubblers know about this bug so its fine, but its good if you guys can fix it.

Change is the only thing you can count on in this world…

The change went on just as I was updating items. Yikes! I thought I’d broke something.
Just make it easier to SELL.

ok. its cool. I’m a newbie anyway.

I hope you huys finally did something to pump some new life into this site. It’s been a bit dreary for months. I’ve been on since Aug 2007 and the past few months has seen a huge decline in activity, in my mind.

What I don’t seem to understand here is why cant Redbubble, like a lot of other sites, give the option of using the new version or staying with the old version. One popular site that everyone knows is MySpace for example… you have the option of staying with classic layout, or upgrading to the new version for your “home page” and can switch back at anytime, same goes for profile creation there. I’m all for change, but I think people should be given the option of sticking with what they know and love, or trying something new.
I think it should also be kept in mind that a lot of people who use the internet are not exactly “internet pro’s” so to speak, and changing something as soon as they just got use to the last change, will eventually make them lose interest and go elsewhere. I really like RedBubble and would hate to see people leaving because they can’t keep up with the changes being made here.

At the first glance the new version has been great. I only tryed the “EDIT” button on the public view of shots ….Fantastic, at last! And it’s a great idea too being updated about our entries in Challenges and votes coming….
Thanks a lot for your hard work for improving this so special site! Thank you! ;o)

I liked the fact that I could see how many votes my shot has in a challenge. In a way I also agree with Julie that so many changes in a short time might lead to people leaving the site as they can’t keep up with them but will see. I’m happy to see that you guys know what you’re doing and try to make it better for us. Cheers, Teresa

Good decision. Better to get it right than rush out a less than perfect release.

Take your time and get it right. If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right. I’m behind you. technogeek is a foreign language to me but it is a necessary thing in today’s world. we’re counting on you, and in case no one else says it, thanks.JH

Yes, I was adding an image at the time and I did encounter some strange happenings.

ah, change can be good, but not all change is step forward, some things need to be left as they are.

You might want to give people some notice as to when you are going to take the site down and launch something new. My ISP emails me several days in advance to let me know they are doing site maintenance. Just a thought. You do kind of spring things on us unexpectedly. I get the Backstage notices but they don’t have a “when” it’s happening, just that it is. That way people like Lenny won’t be dismantling their computers thinking it is them.

Hey Team at Redbubble,
Im a new member here, and well from what I have seen, you guys are doing a ROCKING JOB! I understand what it’s like to get things finished in a time frame, I guess sometimes we just have to take the slow train so we can get it right the next time round ;-)
Other than that, THANK YOU for creating a wonderful website! and well sharing the gift and amazing talents of art from the many artists linked in with this website,
Nick
Kenny Gulley Jr.
It looked great! Cant wait to see it again, buggless…

I guess I’m in the minority here but …I liked things the way they were before you redesigned the desktop. I don’t use the site so much now as I don’t really like the way it is set out. I can’t see what the improvement is (if any?).
Sorry, but had to say.

This is fine and when it is ready that will be fine too.
Cheers!

My work has disappeared from the right hand side of my profile…its reappeared right at the bottom of my page…takes ever such a long time to scroll all the way down there.
