For along time I have tried to work out if there was any difference between Journal & Writing. I searched and searched the RedBubble site, to no avail… Have you put this explanation into the spots that one reaches when deciding to do some prose stuff? Cheers, Keith.

Nice work but i can only upload small prints because my camera is only 6 megapixels which only produces 2400 pixels and i dont want to mess with pixels as you advice not to—i would need to have a 20 pix camera -very expensive!! plus to upload such massive photos and i dont fancy waiting that long !! i wounder if anyone had ideas mybe compress PNG !

NICE to hear about the larger canvas sizes! Have you considered making the image ‘wrap’ around the frame? I’ve had some printed like that and really prefer it to the solid white sides. Thanks for the consideration and all your work!

Thanks for the large canvas. As far as improved t-shirt image, white still needs a little tweaking, as it disappears completely into the white background of the screen.

Thanks for updates, esp. resolving the dark image on black tshirt problem…re: journal vs writing: for all the confusion, consider changing the bucket from “journal” to “blog,” which is what I have been using mine for. Even below in the footer, you have a link for redbubble’s “journal (blog)”.

T-shirt Colors
Does anyone else have the problem of the swatches in preview are not close to the actual color of the shirt once delivered? How hard would it be to scan an actual fabric swatch to get a more proximate color than to put palette generated colors? ( I know, I know all about monitor gammas and calibrations, etc.,etc.,... but most anything would be more on target than the current swatches, especially the darkest ones that almost appear to be the same color.)

There are a lot of things I like better about RB, but I feel these are legitimate suggestions that would benefit RB tremendously. Nonetheless, if this invokes another flaming from RB, feel free! I like mine well done.

Has anybody mentioned having a t-shirt design DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY as a result of this display tweak? My previously perfectly visible “Get A Life” black and white design now looks exactly like the before picture above, and remains blank regardless of what color t-shirt I try to view it on. Granted it never drew lots of views and I will take it down if I have to, but it would be nice to know what went wrong there so I can avoid the problem in future.

would you have to pay for it?

YEA, WELL YOUR TWEAKS HAVE KNOCKED ME OFF THE BUBBLE AND I CAN’T GET BACK INTO MY BUBBLESITE. WHENEVER I TRY TO GET ON MY SITE, THE RESPONSE SAYS THAT MY SCREEN NAME AND PASSWORD ARE INVALID. I HAD TO CREATED ANOTHER ACCOUNT TO GET THIS FAR. I’VE BEEN A MEMBER SINCE OCT 2007 AND I’VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH GETTING INTO THE BUBBLE, UNTIL NOW. I DID IT THE SAME WAY I’VE ALWAYS DONE IT. I DOUBLE CLICK MY MOUSE TO BRING UP MY SCREEN NAME AND MY PASSWORD AUTOMATICALLY FILLS IN THE APPROPRIATE SPACE, I HIT THE ENTER KEY AND I GET THE MESSAGE THAT MY INFORMATION ISN’T RIGHT. WHAT THE FU#% IS GOING ON? WHY CAN’T I SIGN ON? MY SCREEN NAME IS SMOKEYDOGSOCKS, I’VE GOT LOTS OF WORK ON THE BUBBLE THAT I CAN’T GET TO. Wonderful about the canvas,just an idea have you thought of three or four smaller matt print sizes the quality has been top rate I purchase about 5 a month for exhibitions but have been limited to one size and two colours I think we would sell more Matt prints if they where smaller as the prices are affordable.

Great changes. I particularly like the redbubble email with images but I noticed my activity report didn’t include comments, favourites or features.

As to the problem of members using the writing section for journaling – Is it possible to put a link to the write a journal entry in the quick links for ‘my redbubble’?

Good idea but for us photographers why not produce 20×30 laminates, 20×30 framed prints and larger than the existing 8×12 matted prints? I can’t understand why larger matted prints are not offered as options…you are losing a lot of money by not offering them.

Ooops sorry RB…I’m one of the ones that accidentally been using writing instead of journal…was away for a while and completely forgot…i have a couple of important things under writing that I wish not to delete…but in the future I promise to make sure everything is under journal. ;D

It’s great that you offering larger canvases but how about smaller ones as well? Lots of images come in ‘sets’ that would be effective in a smaller size.

As a very new member, I was already wishing for a larger print size offering. The 20×30 canvas sounds great – but I do not see it available for my small portfolio of photos. Can you please point me to it?

How long have I got to wait until you have sorted your tweaks? I can log in ok, but then each time that I try to go to my bubble, I get the message that there is an error at your end. This is very frustrating as I have work that I need to upload. What is going on???
