Our obsession with product quality can be dangerous. When people receive their orders they normally dance around the room and sometimes let off fireworks inside.
The steadier ones among RedBubble customers just put a picture in the buyer’s booth.
We aspire to produce the best print on demand T’s in the world. For us it is about quality of final output not maximizing number of T’s produced per hour. John turns strange shades of puce if the colours are not as close to perfect as it is possible to make.
And, of course, if you are going to obsess about colours you want to make sure the garment itself is the best in the world. I have a $50 T that I think is just re-badged version of the American Apparel T’s we sell. Check out the detail in fit, stitching and fabric on the Bubble T’s.
Freud will tell you to “let the past go”. But not many RedBubble calendars will be tossed at the end of the year. We wanted them to be (almost) as good as a framed print and they cut-the-mustard.
I use the cards to promote RedBubble because they are little affordable pieces of art. I am not alone in thinking this.
The wall art is made to be good enough to hang in a gallery (its printed on archive quality materials). In your home it should delight you every day until your children inherit it.

I agree with the comment about the wall art being good enough to hang in a gallery. I ordered 4 prints with that in mind, and I am delighted with them. The prints will be appearing in a local gallery in about 2 weeks time.

Ditto Darren. Don’t open the package with a chainsaw! Even though those shipping bags are tough little buggers to rip open, patience is the thing.
NO complaints at all from me about the T shirts and prints I’ve bought via Redbubble. Was a bit surprised to find I’d bought a T shirt, via an Aussie website and had the product sent from USA to my home in France.

I agree with the quality by RB it si very good indeed. I have purchased many cards, Calender, Laminated and 5 t-shirts to-date and the quality was good, bar the last two Tees where the printing was far from good, but thanks to the excellent no hassle service from RB, I am now waiting for the replacements.
It is important to me that my customers who found my art exciting enough to purchase, that they are not disappointed with the finished article. I can sleep easy that the quality of RB’s printing is very good.

Actually…..you guys would be surprised to hear how many schools use RB as a teaching tool, especially in their multimedia and visual arts departments. I am heavily involved in that area throughtout Victoria and know that they really do appreciate having such a resource at their fingertips to show students a variety of design facets.
I would love to see RB becoming more involved in nurturing our young talent in many of the secondary colleges….......they do take notice of what you are doing and in many ways, it is inspiring for young artists to see how a community can be so involved in promoting artworks in what was formally seen as as an “untapped” genre.

The quality is brilliant.. only once did i recieve a couple of cards that had been trimmed oddly… RB was so quick to respond and offer to re-do them, but I have decided not to worry about it… I applaud the quallity and the response to my concern!!!

Only one complaint, the envelopes the cards come in are not fastedned securely enough TWO OF THE THREE CARD PACKS I HAS WERE WIDE OPEN, I was amazed the cards did not fall out!!! The calendars were BEAUTIFULLY packed. Thank you for evenything. Please next year MAY WE ADD TEXT with calendar images, so they can have a title and we can tell folk where scenes were taken?!!!

well, i think it’s awsome that you use the best quality t shirts and strive for the best printing. But a niggly point with me is that i don’t think the current previews do them justive, and i think it’s a much tougher sell that it ought to be trying to market them off of the RB site. I keep my fingers crossed every Thursday that there’s going to be new and better previews announced in the release notes. I know hwy it was done, i just don’t thinks it works as it ought to.

Tend to agree somewhat with Mingtees about the previews not doing justice. Specifically, my concern are the t-shirt color swatches. They are NOWHERE NEAR the actual fabric colors of the T’s. Instead of graphically trying to represent the colors you should scan the actual fabric colors and make swatches from those scans.

Wish this extended to RB MEMBER ARTISTS because I’ve sent support e-mails to RB that have been flattly ignored.
How can I recommend my clients, clients that I have maintained relations with for years, or new clients that I have worked hard to procure, to be a customer of RB if I can not be confident they will treat my valued clients professionally?
Seems to me RB should put aside politics and personal prejudices and mind the dollars and cents of running this ’ business ’ !
