We have just had a small technical overhaul at RedBubble with the installation of some new systems. These systems have zero downtime and are immune from viruses or any known technical glitch. They also run entirely on biomass (human) energy. The only wonder is that they had not been thought of before.
Ed is the first person to have his system fully installed. This is a picture of him using it.

As part of this release we have added a new “featurette” to the site. The first person to discover it and bubblemail me (pilgrim) about it wins a $20 gift voucher.

One thing tho….he will not have to worry about the internet going down or the expensive ink…...those ole ribbons lasted forever…..!

Brilliant new technology! But I just found something that is even more cutting-edge – you may already have seen it:
“Announcing the new Built-in Orderly Organized Knowledge device (BOOK). It’s a revolutionary breakthrough in technology: no wires, no electric circuits, no batteries, nothing to be connected or switched on.
It’s so easy to use even a child can operate it. Just lift its cover. Compact and portable, it can be used anywhere
- even sitting in an armchair by the fire -yet it is powerful enough to hold as much information as a CD-ROM disk.”webbie, 2 months ago

That’s what I learned to type on in 19?? LOL However we had to look straight ahead at the wall with a keyboard layout. Even if we were tempted to look down at our hands and keyboard, we couldn’t see a thing as the keyboard was covered and over our hands!!!!
adgray, 2 months ago
Yeah but does it have spell check?
Typical bloody photographers never do think of us writers!
I had one of them I still have it I hated it I still hate it!
I’m stunned you guys have never heard of a pencil!
Did you know when I was at school you had a grey lead till grade 2 then if you were good enough you could use a blue lead till grade 4 then you could have a pen! I started on a Fountain pen! Biros were new and expensive! and wasn’t I feeling so special to have the first Biro at my primary school! I stole my sister’s … she was at high school!
I wrote all my stories by hand … hated making bloody typos! and a typewriter was too big to hide in bed …. not to mention the tell tale sound of slammed keys!
Aaaah the joys of calligraphy! :o)
and tell said typist in the office he has to take up knitting to keep his fingers nimble between writing assignments! – Really! Typists had to knit as part of their training and if they could play piano too that would also help! They could write the costs off on their tax! – wool needles piano & lessons! :o)

I also learnt to type at night school. I remember being very slow, very inaccurate and quite clumsy. But I am glad I did it. Now I completely rely on auto-correct to cover up all my mistakes.

I love your techical “upgrade” – it’s definitely older than me, and it looks even older than the typewriter I learnt to type on at about the age of 10 or 11 years. Unfortunately, it is subject to downtime – when you need new ribbons. I hope you’ve managed to find a good stockist for them – they’re sure to be as rare as hen’s teeth these days!

Love the hide and seek, find the item challenge – could you make that a regular thing, hiding little things around on specific pages – maybe in artist main profile pages or something – if nothing else it will generate redbubblers to places they may not have been before.
