St Ninian’s Isle is one of the best beaches in Shetland, also thought to be one of the best “tombola” beaches in Europe, and is also the site of the treasure found in the 1950’s known as the St Ninian’s Treasure, a beautiful collection of pictish and Anglo Saxon treasures, highly decorated, from about AD800. Amazingly this was dug up by a young schoolboy in the 1950’s…

beach, tombola, sand, sea, sunset, shetland, scotland, treasure, pictish, silver

I’m an artist who loves animals as you’ll no doubt see from my subject matter but also, living in Shetland, am inspired by my beautiful, wild land and seascapes. I take commissions for portraits from photographs, run an art club, and also enjoy doing illustrations for children’s books.
