you’ve been my air
over the past few months
comforted and loved me
more than once

you’ve been my strength
when i felt i had none
you made me smile
laugh and have fun

i can feel the darkness
ebbing away
i thought it wouldnt lift
i couldnt see a brighter day

without you by my side
i would have definately given in
to the thoughts and feelings
that were so strong within

but you whispered to me
held me close
told me that you loved me
and needed me most

you reached to me
with your tender love
your kisses, your endurance
i cant thank you enough
