This photograph was taken from the boat dock in Peachland, looking south towards Summerland and Penticton. I did not find out untill later that the smoke was coming from a slash pile that was burning on the mountainside where they are blasting the mountan away to widen the highway to four lanes from two. You can’t stop progress I guess. Anyways I thought the smoke added a little something to the photo. Taken Mar.2/2008.

Fantastic Gregory.
Love the peacefulness here Gregory, gorgeous!
Thanks Kelly. Yes it was a very peaceful calm day yesterday. In the summer time this beach is crawling with tourists and the lake would have numerous boats out on the water. But at this time of year it’s nice and quiet. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of “Ogopogo”, our resident lake monster, who it is said inhabits the caves across the way, and plies these waters in search of his next meal, but I guess he was sleeping, lol.
