This is a view of part of the vineyards at Cedar Creek last winter, some time after the grapes had been harvested for ice wine. It was very cold but for the most part sunny that day and I liked the way the lines and perspective looked in this view down towards Okanagan Lake. Cedar creek is an estate winery and makes some phenomenal varieties of wines and Ice wines.

great capture….lovely composition and colours :)

  • Thank you Tara! I’d like to go out that way, and get a summer view if we get a good clear day without the smoke.

Like leading lines Gregory, unusual to see snow at the vineyards ;)

  • Thanks Jan. I kind of like the stark look of the vineyards in the winter as you can really get the perspective and the lines more clearly than when they are all green and leafed out in the summer.

I just loved my short time in the Okanagan & this shot is such a beautiful reminder! I really like the tractor tyre tracks through the vines – extra lines to follow!

    Fabulous colours Gregory!

  • Thanks Svetlana. The overall blue tone was due to the brilliant sun reflecting off of the water and the snow.
