When I wake, you’re the first thing I see
I have to touch you to start my day
I tell my secrets and I pour out my heart
Tell you things that I never would say

Listening to me, as I rant and rave
You always follow my lead
In return you show me amazing things
Beauty to see, eloquent words to read

Sometimes it’s hard for me to leave you
Through you I’ve meet friend after friend
At times I can’t sleep for thinking of you
Never wanting our time to end

But now I look around, my house is a mess
My partner is always wearing a frown
I think I had children, where did they go?
I’m gonna have to shut you down !!!!

this is excellent. so many people fall into this trap – undergoing intense emotional affairs online. this is a poem of our times.

Too true. Too true. Do we all need interventions from our inventions? Is there a support group for bubblers anonymous—oh yeah, some of us are still anonymous. Are there good addictions? Well said! Well Said!

As with all addictions, withdrawal can be a contest of will. Some just accept it and go on. Others just grow up and put it in it’s place. Which one are you? I expect i fall into the former category. Excellent write! JH

I smoked for 30+ years and found giving up ciggys easier than giving up RB !!! haha

You’re very welcome. I only smoked for twenty-plus years before I quit! I remarked, at the time. that only a fool would pay more than sixty-five cents (American) for a pack of smokes. Nowadays, as I look back, I realize that it was probably the smartest thing I’ve done (pitiful!). But the money I’ve saved is measured in the thousands. If you’re able to take it or leave it, you’re better than me.
As for TV, I’m afraid that I’m hooked on it’s visual appeal, especially now that I have satellite. I just wish I could get German channels on it. I’ve always wanted to learn German (from watching German soldiers in TV stories as a child). hooked, I say! JH
