    Thank you Barbara! :) – Something so special about Brooklyn :) – So many wonderful neighborhoods…Brighton Beach is beautiful… I lived in BayRidge and my Husband grew up in Bensonhurst… we went to Coney Island often … and try to go back whenever we can :).

    Is this place on the edge of the harbour entrance into New York? I was on a cruiseship for a while and kept seeing a thing that looks just like the tower in your photo. Always wondered what it was??

    Yes.. this is probably what you saw. All ships coming from the ocean – (as opposed to the Hudson River) pass brooklyn (and Coney Island) on your way to the pier- just past the Verrazano Bridge – In fact, some ships just started docking in Brooklyn, at the Brooklyn Navy Yard… so you may have been even closer :) – It’s an old carnival ride – and as I just learned… often called “the Eiffel tower of Brooklyn” hehe
