  • RebeccaT replied

Thanks so much Steve…I’m itching to get in that building…but I’m not so fine with getting caught…plus It looks REALLY unstable… – but here’s a link to a brave photographer who got in and has some great shots. He has an interesting history of the place on the other pages as well :)

very interesting Rebecca, what a waste of a building, strange that it is so unstable, I’ll have to go and read the history

  • RebeccaT replied

Thanks Soxy…yes it is a sad waste of such beautiful architecture. The details are amazing. – It’s been abandoned for over thirty years …no one seems to know who actually owns the property. very strange.

  • RebeccaT replied

Would make a great subject for some pinhole photos i think :)...

ok, went to that link before it was abandoned!!!
    Beautiful back then!!!
so they came out being smart serial killers!!! LOL!!

  • RebeccaT replied

Too funny! :) – yes it was beautiful back then…I’m wondering what comes out of there now?! :) – The curious thing is that they built a pre-school in the front yard…and condos in the back…maybe 20 feet away from the building…lucky that they can take pictures when ever they want…but must be creepy at night. yikes.

You are a great photographer, in addition to which you are a stupendous Photoshopper. (Perhaps you add Lightroom and/or whatever else) I’m mesmerized by your work.

  • RebeccaT replied

Thank you so much Peter for that wonderful compliment :) – I actually use a combination of Photoshop and Corel PaintShopPro Photo. – And some filter plug-ins from OptikVerve that work with both – It’s a bit silly clicking back and forth from program to program…but they both do some fun things that I just love :) – So happy you like the result! :).
