She saw the signs...but chose to ignore them...
This shot was taken at the West 4 subway station in New York. So many wonderful photo opportunities waiting underground…yet I am often a bit nervous about shooting …not always sure how my fellow New Yorkers would feel about having a picture taken. For this reason…I have resorted to DA and this fine model – thought she fit nicely in the scene. -

works well. I’m nervous about taking pictures in public too….you should see if there is anything you could use in the collab group

I’m nervous about taking pictures of people, too! People seem nervous of cameras.
You do such a nice, clean job of adding elements to your photos. How do you do that?
RebeccaT replied
It’s true..they do – and as long as I’m in front of a popular touristy sight…I can sneak in a few people and they have no idea…can’t really say the same for the subway….I get a lot of funny looks when I take out the camera on the train and it’s uncomfortable. I’m not the savy street photographer that I’d like to be. :)
As far as adding the elements…I really don’t think I do it the easiest way…I just cut and paste…fit to size then take out the eraser tool and work very carefully around the edges…tedious work really. After that I try and blend the edges a bit with a bit of blur and so forth…I’m still learning…this is only my 3rd attemtp at adding a model. Glad you like it! :).

love this…I am fortunate and have a small compact so quite easy to take pictures in public without being obvious, just sometimes could do with a bit more zoom…and this is great work
RebeccaT replied
Thanks for all the wonderful comments and taking the time to look…so very kind of you :). – Yes…a compact would definately come in handy for the public shots…people don’t like having a giant SLR pointed at them…very intimidating I suppose :).
