My Savior's Blood

I enter into the throne room of the Most High,
And there I see my Savior with tears falling from His eyes.
I see the piercing thorns that crown His bloody head,
And in a silent whisper He said, “For you this blood is shed”.
I see all of my sin fall upon His bleeding shoulders,
They weigh down His weary arms like a heave boulder;
And with each sin that falls a drop of blood descends,
Defiling the Holy One, in whom my God had sent.
“Father forgive them!” I hear my Savior say,
and I wonder how through such pain,
He still found love for me that day.
With His arms outstretched upon a tree,
He breathed His last breath and thought of me;
And here I stand guilty as they come,
But my Savior knew that through His blood I would be won.
So now I bow before the Most High,
As tears of bewilderment fall from my eyes;
And with my arms outstretched to the throne,
I give away my heart, for it is not my own.
I will give away my life because He gave His away for me,
So that I could dwell with Him for all eternity.
I will not forget the pain in which He suffered,
Because through His Holy Blood, all my sin was covered.

My Savior's Blood

Isaiah 53:5
“He was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.”
