Black and White Photo Comp Resolution
Well folks, what a day ! As we posted last night – the ‘winner’ of the black and white category was found not to own the image. We have subsequently been in touch with the owner of the image and have invited him to join RedBubble and be recognized for his image .
This leaves us with a prize giving dilemma – We’ve discussed this and decided that the fair solution is to grant Sharad, the owner of the image one of the runners up prizes, as he had not actually ‘entered’ the competition under the rules. We will re-consider all the runners up and award the Leica prize to one of the runners up on Monday.
James.

Well done RB. That is fair. It is after all Sharad’s work (It is great I have checked out his site. )

Wow guys I’m sorry you’ve all been so busy because of this, but it sounds like a good outcome after all.

Sounds fair enough.Question is,is the imposter getting off scot free, after all it’s
copyright theft.
James Pierce
His account has been removed from RedBubble.
BigRed
how many actually entered this particular comp?
do you have to go through the whole thing again or is there a short list?
sorry you guys have to go through it all again but good to see you care enough to put things right !!
:-)
Christine Wilson
sounds like a fair enough resolution wd done for your diplomacy
Jeff Rayner
Maybe the owner of the original pic could choose the winner?
rxaphotography
Sounds like the best resolution James.
DataShine
Sounds both fair and reasonable . . . a tough job well handled :-)
Natalie Manuel
Tough decision. I’m still mind boggled someone would do this (yes I know it happens but….still). Great image though, the owner is very talented.

Congrats on resolveing this sensibly. I like Jeff Rayners suggestion. Ask the very talented Sharad to view all the entrys or all the runners up and award the camera to whom ever he picks. Sounds great.
The cheater person should be dealt with maybe by the same method. Ask Sharad what he would like done with the creep.
Well done Redbubble.
Melinda Kerr
Well done guys and good luck with your new decision! Man what an eye opener this has been.

I’m curious as to how RB found out that this was not the imposters entry.
Congrats to all the runner ups

Be sure also, this time, that the photographs are available for sale on RB… please, respect your rules. Thank you.

I was thinking ‘it’d be great to give the prize to the actual photographer’-there you go, reading my mind!
I would’ve thought they would get the prize…but fair enough, they didn’t enter.
amazing you could track them down at all.
