Timken Mansion San Diego California, by RD Riccoboni 2008, acrylic on canvas. This victorian house is a private residence near Balboa Park in the Banker’s Hill Nieghborhood of San Diego California. The owners have lovingly restored it.
The Timken House was built in 1888, is a late Victorian style, Queen Anne, with Georgian influence. The house was designed by the prominent architects Comstock and Trotsche and is located on First Avenue. The Timkens were prominent San Diego citizens involved in real estate and the fine arts. There Is The Timkin Museum in Balboa Park houses much of the families noted art collection as does The San Diego Museum of Art.
Beacon Artworks Gallery, shows the San Diego paintings by California artist RD Riccoboni. These art pieces tell the story of San Diego from Old Town to today, created in bold color. Riccoboni appreciates both new and old San Diego, along with the California history that surrounds these settings. The artist went out in search of old homes to paint, and soon realized there was so much more beauty in the overall experience of his city and county and recreate in art a mix of everyday activity in neighborhood street scenes, all in bold color that tells the story of this special place.
