Born and raised in New York, spending my business career working in the IT field for a major Financial Institution in New York City. Moved to Arizona in 1996 after retiring, I have spent most of my time exploring and hiking throughout the Southwest. Photography has become my passion over the last four years, having come to my hobby late in life I have jumped in with both feet. Although I am new to photography, I have had some great teachers, Tom Vezo a renowned wildlife photographer has helped me immensely over the past two years, unfortunately Tom passed away suddenly in July while we were on a photo shoot trying to capture a Monsoon waterfall in the desert of Southern Arizona, he will be missed greatly. Also the Green Valley Camera Club with a membership of over 880 members is a tremendous wealth of information and I have learned a great deal from many of its members. Of the many things Tom taught me the most important thing was that photography is all about “light”, and there is no better place in the entire world for light than the Southwest.
