A calming picture of reeds and their reflections at Priddy Pool, Priddy, Mendip, Somerset. At first glance the picture may appear to be upside down.
Priddy pools are part of the Priddy Mineries Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest. The reserve supports a wide range of flora and fauna including the Downy Emerald dragonfly. The site is over the central Mendip lead ore field and there are many signs of previous lead mining in the locality. It is one of my favourite locations with many photographic opportunities.
Sold as a matted print – Exhibition 2011. Captured with an Olympus E3 camera and 12-60mm lens.
