Tell the Kids...

What do we have to be proud about? We sit at home and worry about how much salt we consume, what is happening in our favourite tv programmes whilst all around us we let our governments kill and destroy for nothing. Spoon-fed and empty we just sit and watch, change the channel if the truth gets too graphic.

It’s sickening, it’s shameful. Apathy is the blind man’s way out. We have a voice, use it.

So this is what we have all become,
Evolved apes with the egos of the gods.
What must we look like from above?
Rats crawling on this ball of dirt.
Take messiahs, nail them to a wage.
Cash in hand the morals of our time.
How could we ever let it come to this?
Just tell the kids their dreams will never come.

So this is our democracy,
Dictated clones all standing in a line.
Pray to stone messiahs from the past,
Is this how we justify this lie?
Empty eyes bleed rivers of regret,
Blinded mice can’t see how they run.
Rancid minds destroying all they can,
Just tell the kids their dreams will never come.

great strong reflective writing – yes humanity is censored stupidly and decision of what is “news” is closely screened and fed to me and everyone else – the real truth is getting out amongst the world and seeing it at first hand ! Commercial media is mostly conservative narrative which excludes the world narrative and real issues facing humanity and Mother Earth. Australia is such a conservative country – I will pull up now before I pitch my pedestal and tent for an eternal rant :)
