A combination of frustration & resignation on the face of a NYC bus driver is reflected in a side mirror as early evening traffic crawls along midtown Manhattan on 5th Avenue.

Modern realism in digital oils from an original photograph shot in the hellish heatwave of July 20, 2011.

Fantastic shot, GIna – so many angles and shapes. For some reason, I thought you lived in Connecticutt

  • I do, but went into NY with friends for dinner to see ‘Anything Goes’ on Broadway – their treat!). I spent a lot of time there as a teen and young woman, since the city was just a 45-minute train ride away from where I grew up. I went to college in NYC and lived there afterward for a few years as well. I miss it!
