I like the peaceful look in the midst of the storm….

  • Thanks, this is what it’s like near the shoreline in Connecticut when storms gather…I grew up watching gulls heading in hours ahead of bad weather – we never needed meteorologists!

I agree Gina, the gulls were a far better indication than the rubbish the weather bureaus feed us, they still are! This is just gorgeous, I have a special weakness for dormer windows :-) OXOX

  • Me too…so glad you like it…how I miss living near the shore! XOXOXO

By the way, I just love the angles. My thing these days. A truly epic view. Rusty

  • I love angles too, let’s hear it for geometry – thanks again.

The shingles match the gulls. A nice dormer. We’ve had gulls flying overhead today, they really are good forecasters. But then so is all of nature if we just stop and take notice.

  • So true. We can learn much from nature but modern life insulates us from much of it. Thank you.

As long as you don’t make me do geometry, I’m with you. Really, the photo struck me immediately upon coming across the page it was on, just drew my eye. Great shot. I just started photography in June, but thought I nailed this one. Critique?

  • Well, the gable is part of an ancient restored inn that is now a historical museum in Tolland, Connecticut. I confess Tolland is nowehere near the shoreline. I painted in the sky as I remember it from my childhood growing up on the coast in Fairfield. :-)
PS: I hate all mathematics but love music (math) and geometric configurations (math)….LOL!
