When I was a tot growing up in South Norwalk, Connecticut – long before it was remade into trendy SoNo – my very bestest friend Rosemary and her family moved from our neighborhood to a snazzy new development on a new street named Devil’s Garden Road.

That name has always stayed with me. I honor the memory with this work – classic pink roses blooming against a dark and sinister background.

Digital textured and distressed oil painting from a photograph kindly shared with me by artist Trixi Jahn.*
