I do have a jay that comes back every now and then and seems to chirp until I stick my head out. I like to think he that he is calling to me! Isn’t he wonderful? When I was younger I thought of bluejays as being a bit like pests, because they would berate my cats. But now I really love them and can’t wait to find one crawling around in my grapefurit tree. Of course between woodpeckers and bluejays, I don’t have quite so many grapefruit for myself!
