Great image and treatment!! Is this on old Route 66 by chance??

  • Nope, up above Asheville in the North Carolina mountains. The big building in the back is a barbecue place built entirely from hand-hewn logs. At least they were split and shaped on the building site.

Excellent image and treatment, nice work.

  • Thank you, Rosalie! I love your sandpiper picture and the way you framed the actual image. Sweet and simple perfection.

LOVE IT, GREAT TREATMENT. LET’S SEE, THE FORD GALAXY IS,,,A,,,,1960,,,I THINK. I COULD TELL BETTER IF I COULD SEE THE TAIL LIGHTS. BOB ;)

  • It’s so cool that you can identify it as well as you have…I used to visit up there more than in recent years because of the economy and no travel money! It’s a really cool spot and way up in the mountains. They have cloggers, etc. come and do shows while people are eating delicious barbecue dinners…and that is my dad who turns 100 this summer!

Well you tell you dad from me, “Happy Century” as well as “Happy Birthday”. I lost my dad in Aug of 1997, he was only 71. I sure do miss him. Bob ;)

  • Sorry to hear that, Bob…I am lucky that it is very. very likely that my dad will be celebrating his 101st birthday quite soon!

  • Thanks so much for the fun contest! I’m glad, this time, I was able to create (and then find in my portfolio) the right image for it!
