My little downy blue jay returned. He was even cuter today with a very full tummy and little feathers draped every which way over his little belly!

Yep-I am going to post another shot because this little birdy is so unusual. At least he’s in an unusual stage of life right now. And best of all, he loves my grapefruit tree!

Thanks, Wanda. I don’t know if I’ll ever get a shot like this again. These jays are so cute when they are that young! I do have a jay that comes back every now and then and seems to chirp until I stick my head out. I like to think he that he is calling to me! I wanted to tell you how I much I like “Beautiful Trees Surrounding The Lagoon” in your gallery.

Isn’t he wonderful? When I was younger I thought of bluejays as being a bit like pests, because they would berate my cats. But now I really love them and can’t wait to find one crawling around in my grapefurit tree. Of course between woodpeckers and bluejays, I don’t have quite so many grapefruit for myself!
