Featured in “Inspired Art”, “Fractal Abstracts”, "Realistic Paintings about Water ", “Deviants Redbubblers” and “Fractal Combinations”. Entirely done in UltraFractal 5.04. This piece received a Daily Deviation award in the biggest art oriented social network – Deviantart. Illustration for a book from the Russian Sci-Fi series “Ethnogenez”

This is also an homage to one of the greatest seascape artists ever – Ivan Aivazovsky. Recognized very young as a genius he made a long and successful carrier and drew 6,000 oil paintings, mostly of seascapes. It’s interesting that, while making real masterpieces when painting the sea and using only his imagination (no studies in open air), he was absolutely mediocre in any other subject that doesn’t involve the sea.

Wonderful work, Stefano – how amazing that Alvazovsky painted the sea with only imagination

  • Thanks dear! Well for me it´s even more surprising how he succeded to make 6,000+ realistic paintings. He painted 60 years and this means 100 per year. Another interesting fact is, that when he visited Paris to show several paintings, all visitors looked behind one of them thinking there is some source of light there. He painted so well the moon light in this one :-)

Fabulous action painting , you have created a great moody piece !!!

  • Thanks a lot George! Well, it’s not exactly a painting as I made it with fractals, i.e. formulas, but sure I wanted very much to make it with hand made look :-)
