Ray I totally agree with you ....my nephew was born a sickly child and was not expected to live more than a few days…..he lived 2 weeks .....on the insistance of my brothers”s mother -in-law that child had to be baptised before he could be buried because “he would to hell” her quote ! my question to her then and now what sin can a dying child make to be denied entry to “heaven” ? and if that is religion count me out! wtf goes on in theirs brains these people make me sick ! sorry Ray….........that last verse is my take on church the birds, trees everything is our cathedral ......cheers Jane x

Churches are all big business…the more they scare you the more goes into the basket….
I was also raised Catholic…haven’t entered a Church in years…that is not to say that I don’t
believe I do…I believe in a good and loving Jesus who would cry many tears over the
hypocrites who run the Church, the wealth of the Vatican when there are so many hungry
...Jesus was all about love and the love in your heart…and no matter who you are if you
know what love is … no matter what religion…Heaven is yours…a fantastic piece!!!!!!

I had the same upbringing but my family was also a part of a catholic family group – cough cult cough – where you had to marry with the community or atleast make your partner join as well. i accepted it as a child becaue it meant that i could spend alot of times with my friends, but once i was expected to actually join in it felt sooo wrong and i started exporing my own beliefs and it was too different from all of those that were around me, caused alot of trouble for me but yeah i got out lol. so i love this piece good stuff bother

Hi Raymondo,i was raised in a Roman Catholic Church too,i was thought to love and share,help and give..I know there were times when the Catholic Church used to preech that Only Catholics go to heaven..but time s change and so their view..like you, i find my God in all the beautiful nature and all around me..and if i have my doubts about the church,i go straight to the Bible..the Bible always speaks the truth. I do believe that with all the imperfections,religions have one aim nowadays—Unity and love between all Human Kind .and that is Beautiful..i always enjoy reading you..you’re so honest and straight forward in your writes..Good night to you my friend(il lejl it tajjeb):)Charma

most organized religions scare me these days. I am with you Raymondo so strongly. nature is deeply spiritual to me, and I feel I am a spiritual being. no book of rules do I need nor have I ever gone by. OH I could tell you a few things about the hypocrisy I saw also….good grief I could write a book on it Raymondo. I TOTALLY feel you on this….I agree, that God can be seen in the beauty around us, and felt in the wind above us. THAT is my religion now…to have no religion. I was raised Church of England, so almost Catholic… could never understand why a priest would bless you for sinning…. my brother and sister started the Church if the Holy Lamp Post, believing that if the light goes out the Lamp Post remains… I believe it, I have seen many an unlite lamp…
