Wow... So many marvellous works of art!!
Hello all.
I haven’t been cruising around the red bubbles for a while as I’ve been unpacking, golfing and writing.
There has certainly been alot of amazing images uploaded in the past month. I feel like I’ve missed the party! Its a good thing it’s a continuous one, isn’t it?
Please could you come and have a look at my own artwork… feel free to comment on anything!!
It would be great to hear from you…

I’m more interested in how you sort the lights out to take a photo though..
any hints?.. it takes me a complete day to photograph one painting.. i do them in sections and then paste them together in photoshop to stop getting the flash light showing up.. this is almost a art form in its self.. i want the brush strokes to show but i don’t want any bright spot light from the flash to show..
hints n tips anyone?..

Have you tried taking the photo of the painting outside, in the morning. Make sure the sun isn’t glaring at the pic and don’t use a flash. Take it as one whole photo rather than various smaller ones.

A very large soft light source, like a soft box, off axis so that it’s own reflection is out of the photo, but the largeness of it doesn’t cast a shadow either… I must write a tutorial about this soon.
