Quickly, for it is late, and only looking at it for a fraction of the time I normally love spending with your images before commenting, – first impression: BRILLIANT. Let me say that again. BRILLIANT. Proof positive that your work is as informed, if not more informed, by an intelligence – one that is both emotional as well as intellectual. It is on tricky ground, and many images like this flirt with the banal, the sentimental. It is a huge risk. But you SUCCEEDED in a way I can’t begin to express. This piece is different – again your versatility comes to mind. I have to look at your work again to be sure, but I think, for me, this may be the best thing (which I’ve seen) you’ve ever done.

ZOWIE! Have come up against exactly that wall a bunch of times. I can feel its texture beneath my fingers and cheek. Nice thing about it is, that if you just stay there… relax… nod off… frequently upon awakening… THE DAMNED THINGS GONE!

I think of continuance a lot. As a child I roamed the forests alone, very quietly, and formed a theory, that if we expect to graduate from this place, not this life but this plane, we need to learn our lessons, just like school; best way is to live lives as various creatures to better understand the circle of life, although some creatures lives are so cruel, they are reserved for cruel people to learn the error of their ways. This theory did not follow the Sunday school teachings, so I kept it to myself. I was about 9, and even now the theory seems firm…
