"Gratitude" Bald Eagle

Bowing his head as if in prayer, this thoughtful study of a wild Bald Eagle seems so appropriate to convey the theme of Gratitude. Giving thanks whether through prayer or through action, is one of the most powerful gestures a person can make. The lasting impression created by a grateful attitude is wonderful to behold.

This scene was created from two photographs taken recently in British Columbia, Canada, just 32 miles from Alaska, as the sun was setting behind a creeping ocean fog rolling in from Haida Gwaii. A pensive Bald Eagle flew in and just sat there in silence, as I took his photograph. Nature is such a consumate artist and did most of the creative work for me in this image.
