My mom says as a baby I was antisocial, preferring quiet and solitude and happiest when left alone. I had piano lessons at 5 years old, trumpet and band at 10 and guitar at 14. I loved to read and excelled in academics.
As far back as I can remember I was the child in the family who was called upon to take family photos because “he does such a good job.” Looking back on the family photos I now realize I’m the missing child in our family of 5 children. Luckily, someone else took a few shots with me in the photos or else I would swear I don’t exist.
As an adult for some time, I’ve freelanced in the corporate world of advertising photography, photographed models who were signed by a major modeling agency, and produced commercials for television. I can also add copywriter, morning show host and program director for radio to my credits.
I’ve recently left the commercial, corporate world to be a full time artist. You should hear the responses from people when I tell them what I do. A few are awed, most are still laughing in disbelief.
