Night Shot.

Shot on the eve of the South Africa vs New Zealand TriNations Rugby Match. Final Score 29-22 in the favor of New Zealand. [2010 08 21].

FNB Stadium is currently the largest stadium in Africa since its capacity was increased to 94,700 for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

In July 2010, controversial future plans were announced to rename the stadium The National Stadium after the World Cup for international football and rugby matches.

This was resolved after a South Gauteng High Court decision that owing to a 2007 naming rights agreements with First National Bank, the stadium’s name would revert to FNB Stadium.

    Kill the crowd?

  • was more like … “queue the crowd” … and they arrived in their droves.
They poured out as the game ended, and for the most part were quite disillusioned as SA had lost the game!
