Makaraba, is township slang for safety hat. Originally worn by supporters to soccer matches as protection against flying bottles.

    I do think so …
    While I gotta say that I do somewhat agree with the latest call from FIFA to have the vuvuzela banned for the 2010. The day [or night more accurately] that I went to see the game … I couldn’t hear myself think, let alone do.
    But it will also be a big pity if indeed FIFA get their way as after all the WC is being hosted in the land of the vuvuzela!
