Discovering and being creative – these are what give me satisfaction. The natural world, in its many forms, gives me limitless scope for discovery, and photography provides me with the means for creative expression. (I would love to learn to paint, but that may have to wait until retirement!) Combine all of that with hiking, and you have my idea of heaven.
Last year I discovered macro-photography, using nothing more than a compact camera and a $2 loup. (My daughter kindly posted some of my work under her Red Bubble account.) I hope to continue with that this summer.
Thank you to everyone who has commented on my work to date. I know I must honor the spirit of Red Bubble and do more to comment on others’ work too – but, the truth is, I often find myself going from image to image in breathless wonder (and more than a little envy) at the stunningly high quality of the work posted by the members of this community.
